Auditions:

We are excited to announce auditions for our fall musical: The Little Mermaid, Jr! Directed by Scott Kirn. Auditions will take place on August 2 and 3 at 7:00 PM. Auditions are open to ages 6 – 18 yrs. Those auditioning should be prepared to sing one of the following songs:

  • Part of Your World
  • Under the Sea
  • Poor Unfortunate Souls
  • Kiss the Girl

Recorded accompaniment and the option of sheet music will both be provided. Accommodations will be made for anyone unable to perform one of these songs with the recorded accompaniment may prepare one of them, or an alternate song, acapella. Everyone will get the chance to read selected scenes from the show that will be provided. All levels of experience welcome!

Our first rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, August 11. Rehearsals will typically be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:30 PM and Sundays from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. For those cast members who are also performing in Hamlet Hears a Who, rehearsals will be worked to allow you to be a part of both shows. Questions? Email us at productions@creativeyouthwi.org.

Performances

We are excited to present a one-night-only concert-style performance of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Tickets are available on our tickets page in advance or at the gate. This is an outdoor performance at Village Hall Park in Waterford. Please plan to bring a camp/lawn chair to comfortably enjoy the show in the park. Concessions will be available. All proceeds will benefit our youth performing arts programs. This is an outstanding multi-gen cast, many of whom are reuniting from our 2019 cast! This amazing performance is directed by the fabulous Jenny Hoffman.

On August 21 we will be presenting Seusspeare: Hamlet Hears a Who, directed by Ki Kennedy. This fun twist on a Shakespeare classic is great for audiences of all ages and will be enjoyed at the outdoor stage in Village Hall Park in Waterford. Bring a chair or blanket to best enjoy the show. Concessions will be available. Tickets are available here on our ticket page or at the gate which opens a half an hour before showtime. See poster below for additional details.
